FLAMING WORD – P1
DANIEL 3:27
“And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them.”
In the preceding chapter, verse 49 to be precise, we read of how Daniel, when he was promoted after telling the king of his dream and the interpretation, by the king’s permission, set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of the province of Babylon. Their promotion was certainly not to be celebrated by the princes, governors, captains, and king’s counsellors, bearing in mind that they had been brought into the nation as slaves.
Then comes this turn of events where these three Jews would not bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image, thus incurring his wrath. The penalty was being burnt alive in the fiery furnace, in full view of everyone.
Yet, the fire was unable to consume them!
The world was recently attacked with COVID-19, a definite orchestration from hell, designed to kill and take many to hell as well as prevent the body of Christ from gathering to worship our God. COVID-19 (and the ilk) is a form of fire, but the devil is a liar, it cannot consume us!
And the princes, governors, captains, and king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men…
I decree over your life that any gathering intended to see your downfall or death will be put to shame. They shall see you standing strong in the midst of the fires of life. In fact, not only will you stand, but you will also walk! You will continue to advance and progress in this life, in spite of the challenges. Your life will not be static. You will progress.
No fire of life, no challenge, will have power over your body. The hair of your head will not be singed. Your coat, signifying the glory of God upon your life, will not be changed. You will go from glory to glory. The smell of fire will not pass over you. This means there will be nothing to show that you have been through such a challenge. You will be scar-free, with no emotional or physical marks to mar your beauty.
In that community, work environment, family—wherever you find opposing forces gathered against you—I declare that their gathering shall come to nothing, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
I declare that sicknesses and diseases will not have power over the body of Christ. We won’t lose our glory. All the principalities, powers, rulers, and wicked spirits in high places, gathered against us, including Satan himself, will see the church of the living God still advancing! More souls will be won into God’s kingdom! I see miracles, signs, and wonders on every side. The body of Christ is empowered like never before. We cannot be consumed because the Fourth Man, Jesus, the Son of God, is with us.
