FLAMING WORD – P4

JUDGES 13:4-5

“Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing;

For, lo, thou shalt conceive and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Prophecies reveal the mind of God. They tell of what God intends to do in the lives of His children.

However, we cannot live carelessly and still expect God’s blessings.

The blessings of God are given to us in line with His purpose. Samson was to be a deliverer for Israel. Likewise, God has a purpose for our lives and blesses us in accordance with that purpose.

Your purpose has to do with the reason why God created you. A good understanding of this places you in a better position to give your all for His service.

In 1 Timothy 1:18, Paul tells Timothy, This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.

Prophecies come with a charge—a way of conduct, a way of life. To enjoy the extraordinary, you have to do the extraordinary. Pray more, study God’s word more, and stay in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

A Christian lives a separated life. You are totally dedicated to God. Samson’s parents were to ensure that his life was separated unto God and his purpose.

What is your purpose? What prophecies have you received? What is God asking you to do?

Remember: doing the extraordinary produces extraordinary results.

Shalom.
