JAMES 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
We all want to have our prayers answered. I believe we all desire to see the mighty move of God in our lives and ministries. We seek to manifest great grace and power. We want to see the dead rise, the lame walk, blind eyes open and the deaf hearing. We want to keep the devil under our feet, where he belongs.
In order to do so, Apostle James is telling us to submit ourselves to God. In submitting ourselves to God, we are surrendering our will. Paul will say, it’s no longer I but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20). Christ who lives in you begins to manifest His power and glory through us. And when Christ is manifested, no devil can stand against Him.
It’s no longer about you, rather the One you submit to who lives inside of you, and is manifesting Himself through you! Glory!
Submission to God is resisting the devil! Rebellion is of the devil. So long as we walk in obedience to God’s word, the devil has no part in us. Jesus said the devil cometh but he has nothing in Me.
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
John 14:30 KJV
Our authority is based on our submission to God. When you are submitted to God, and you pray, the devil flees. He runs! He rebelled and it is his desire that God’s children will also walk in rebellion. But we will not!
My dear, choose to walk in submission. Yes, it’s a choice. Then resist any form of satanic attack and the devil will flee.
Kindly say this prayer with me:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for the life I have in Christ Jesus. I am born again to live a victorious Christian life. Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I submit my will to the will of God. I choose to live by the word of God and to say no to the works of the flesh. I am an overcomer. I resist every satanic agenda to cause me to rebel by giving place to anger, unforgiveness, hatred and the like. I resist it in Jesus’ name. Thank you, Father God, for love, joy and peace in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
